Sally Edwards, MA, MBA is a veteran physical educator and the creator of the Heart Zones Training system. This was the first easy to use, practical methodology to measure cardiovascular training using a simple training tool, a heart rate monitor. Sally has authored more than 22 books on health and fitness including the popular Heart Rate Monitor GUIDEBOOK. This professional triathlete is a 16-time Ironman finisher, a member of the Triathlon Hall of Fame, and past winner of the Western States 100 Mile Endurance Run. Today, she uses her passion for health and fitness to lead cardiovascular and emotional training seminars and workshops around the world for health and physical education teachers, athletes, and fitness enthusiasts on how to get fit for a lifetime. Sally is the author of Healthy Heart in the Zones and program co-developer of the in-service professional development program.

As Sally explains, “Teaching health education to middle schools students has been one of my professional high points, because when kids learn, their enthusiasm is contagious and exciting”. As other health professional say about Sally that her energy and enthusiasm for health education is more than contagious, it shows vision and a commitment to making a difference.
