Tip #1. Use “Outdoor Mode” to give your class or workout unlimited range
One of the many amazing features of the Heart Zones’ Blink heart rate sensors is the built-in memory capability. That means that the sensors record all of the data for both heart rate and SPM (steps per minutes). There is no need for the participant to either be near the Bridge or if used as an individual, bring their smart phone when they workout!
The onboard memory storage of our sensors gives the participants in your class the ability to leave the range of your Bridge (~40 yards in every direction), and when they return their data will sync to the Heart Zones Move app. Perfect for any track workout, endurance run, or outdoor game.
To utilize this built in memory, simply toggle on “Outdoor Mode” on the class select page.
Note: You do not need to be outdoors to toggle on “outdoor mode.” If you have a large indoor space, it’s good practice to toggle on outdoor mode to ensure no data is lost.
When you start your session, have the participants begin within range of the Bridge for ~30 seconds to allow the app to initiate outdoor mode with the sensors. Then, participants are free to leave the range of the bridge as long as they do not turn their sensors off while they are away. At the end of class, have the participants return to within range of the Bridge to allow the data to sync back to the Heart Zones Move app. You will know the sync is successful when the “timer” icon disappears on the tiles.
Once each sensor has been successfully synced you can end your session and view your report!
